Anjuman-e-islah-e-Afaghina is formed in 1920 at Utmanzai, Charsadda. Its focus initially is on social reform & Education of the Pashtuns.
1930
Anjuman Islah-e-Afaghina transforms into Khudai Khidmatgar movement whose scope is much broader. Alongwith social reform & education, it focuses on the political awareness and organisation of the Pashtuns
1956
Six political parties merge to form National Awami Party, whose agenda is set to work for Democracy, Federalism, Social justice & a non-aligned foreign policy in the country
1986
Different parties come together to form a new progressive political party whose manifesto is to work for true democratic, federal, socially just and religiously tolerant Pakistan
